Build Your Self-Confidence
When I reflected on why I didn’t achieve some of my stretch goals in 2023, self-doubt was a major factor that held me back. I hesitated to even attempt things that pushed me too far outside my comfort zone. Imposter syndrome kicked in making me feel underqualified or inexperienced enough to try bold new ventures.
I know self-confidence is essential to realize my full potential so I’m prioritizing intentionally strengthening belief in myself this next year. The more self-assured I can become in my inherent value and abilities, the more courage I’ll have to step into growth opportunities and handle setbacks constructively.
That why “ Boost Confidence ” is a critical personal empowerment step. I’ll employ proven techniques to cultivate confidence including:
Affirmations - Starting each morning by looking myself in the mirror and stating affirmations about my strengths, skills and worth out loud.
Repeating empowering mantras trains my mind to believe them unconsciously over time.
Journaling - Writing regularly in a gratitude journal listing what I have accomplished or what I appreciate about myself reinforces all the progress made. Reviewing entries on tough days provides perspective.
Body Language - Walking taller, making eye contact, firm handshakes and taking up space displays confidence externally which drives internal belief change.
Risk-Taking - Every brave action undertaken builds confidence to attempt the next one. By forcing myself to take small risks while managing fear, I sensitize myself to uncertainty. Each risk survived makes the next feel less intimidating.
Mentors - Surrounding myself with those who already walk boldly in their calling points the way for me to follow in their footsteps. I draw confidence seeing peers achieve.
Owning my worthiness is the superpower that will unlock next level goals in 2024.
I know the main obstacle between me and my potential is myself. Time to get out of my own way!

Ask trusted advisors to highlight your strengths and talents they observe
Collect past evidence of accomplishments through journals, awards etc.
Action Step 4:
Take Strategic Risks
Outline small risks outside comfort zone aligned to goals that stretch skills
Use risk-taking ‘successes’ as proof of growing confidence in increments
