Master Time Management
When reviewing why several of my goals languished last year, lack of time was a big factor. I took on too many commitments and got distracted by less important activities that crowded out meaningful priorities.
I’ve realized mastering time management is essential to achieve audacious goals across multiple domains while avoiding overwhelm. Handling competing demands for my energy and schedule efficiently unlocks capacity to take on bold new challenges without sacrificing self-care.
That’s why Improving Time Management through focus and planning tactics is a key step in my personal empowerment plan. This year I’m getting crystal clear on my top priorities guided by my core values and goals. I’m drawing boundaries more firmly around secondary commitments pulling me away from what matters most.
I’ll employ proven time management best practices including:
The 80/20 Rule - Identifying and focusing 80% of effort on the vital 20% of activities driving the biggest results.
I’ll protect time for those mission-critical tasks first.
Batching Similar Tasks – Grouping related tasks to knock out efficiently at once during designated times. This prevents wasting mental energy context switching constantly. I’ll have set days for admin work, creative work, household errands etc.
Tracking Time Closely – Using time journaling and schedule analysis to understand exactly where pockets of time are being lost currently. Visibility into wasted time allows me to cut ineffective habits.
Eliminating Time Drains – Being ruthless about dropping or delegating unnecessary tasks that offer little fulfillment but eat up precious hours. Learning to say no politely but firmly.
Getting lean and intentional with how I spend the irreplaceable currency of time is crucial to unlock next level intentional living. These time optimization tactics will make space for what matters!
